Today's session with Molly was very beneficial! We were placed into groups and guided on how to bookbind. We were told how to Japanese stitch and saddle stitch.

Here are my results:








I found this easier than I originally thought! I am not great at sowing so I thought this would be harder for me - with help from Molly it was quite simple! Despite not using these stitches in my own book (due to being a mix and match book) I will remember these techniques for the future as they were quite helpful!

One day projects - week 2 - 'Happy Birthday' Daisy Jackson / 31/01/2022 For today's one day task, David assigned us the mini project of creating a 4 panel story involving the song 'Happy Birthday'. In comparison to last week, my creative thinking has definitely improved as more ideas rushed to my head during the brief. Here are my plans: Despite how morbid a lot of these ideas are, I find them quite comical as the characters themselves are very strange. I have always loved my lumpy style and wanted to encoorperate it into a few ideas. A lot of these ideas involved characters being crushed and the other character being left horrified. Creating my storyboard

Creating my storyboard  Daisy Jackson / 18/03/022 Today I decided to brainstorm ideas for a storyboard. This storyboard would be contributing to my introduction to animation module so I had to make sure I understood the concept and the idea I was going for. Originally, my idea was going to be a more scenic animation - focusing on the surroundings and then narrating the death of Marie Curie’s husband Pierre. However, I decided to have a different approach to this idea.
